Merry & Bright Gift Wrapping Ideas

Pom Poms make a whimsical alternative to a traditional bow! Here I used 5521 Pom Pom Braid in white, jungle green and bubblegum, but we also have individual pom poms available. 

Playing with proportions can be a fun way to add interest to your wrapping. Here I have used 6157 Gold Ribbon in different widths, with 9893 gimp braid in jungle green and 6300 in dusty pink to add some texture. 

Layering up braids of different colours and textures of braid can be a fantastic way to make your gift wrapping feel extra special. On this maximalist example, I've layered 5568 Apple Green Ric-Rac, on top of 9844 gimp braid in cerise, on top of 9709 Gold braid in 25mm width, then a 9931 5cm tassel in pale pink just to finish it off. 

I also loved mixing matt textures with metallics. I love the combination here of the soft woven 7971 pale pink braid, topped with the sparkling gold 8148 gimp braid. And, of course, the pom poms top off the sandwich of textures perfectly with some sumptuous softness. 

And when the wrapping paper is just too cool to cover up, why not add a trim that allows the pattern to shine through, like this 5511 Lurex expandable net trim? Top it with a classic bow and some luxurious 9932 4cm tassels in pale pink & raspberry and you've got the perfect mix of luxury and fun.
